Featuring a Linden top, back, and sides, a Nato neck, and ebonized Maple fingerboard and bridge, the Valencia Series 100 provides you with a clear and resonant voice. Within this series, a packaged GUITAR KIT is also available featuring a natural gloss finish guitar in all fractional sizes, a Valencia-branded nylon carry bag, and an electronic guitar tuner.

To complement the Series 100 entry-level range, we present a selection of full-size guitar model options not previously available at these competitive price points. Designed to our exacting standards, the Valencia Series 100 cutaway, electric acoustic, and cutaway electric acoustic models are available in natural and black gloss finishes. The electric acoustic models include a fully featured Valencia G04 4-band EQ preamp and pickup system with a built-in electronic tuner.

Classical guitars come in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full 4/4 sizes. As a rough guide, 1/4 suits about ages 4-6, 1/2 about ages 6-8, 3/4 about ages 8-11 and 4/4 ages 12 to adult, but height and arm length matter more than age. Steel strings, usually phosphor bronze or 80/20 bronze. Lighter gauges are easier on the fingers; heavier gauges give a fuller sound but need more finger pressure. Do not put steel strings on a classical (nylon-string) guitar.

Nylon strings (some sets use carbon trebles with wound bass strings). Never fit steel strings to a classical or flamenco guitar: the extra tension can damage the neck and bridge.

An acoustic-electric guitar has a built-in pickup and preamp so it can be plugged into an amplifier or PA system; a purely acoustic guitar has no electronics. Check the Specification tab of this product for its electronics.

Both use nylon strings. Flamenco guitars usually have a lower action, a brighter and more percussive sound and a tap plate (golpeador) to protect the top; classical guitars are voiced for a warmer, rounder tone with more sustain.
