Epiphone Bonehead Riviera Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar - Dark Tobacco Sunburst

In trying to achieve that snarly Oasis tone, fans across the globe — including quite a few here at Sadek Music — will tell you that there's just no Oasis sound without the driving rhythm guitar work of cofounder Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs. The instrument that got him there? An ’82 Epiphone Riviera given to him by Noel Gallagher — an axe that's faithfully re-created here as the Epiphone Bonehead Riviera! A double-cut semi-hollow body of laminate maple pairs perfectly with a SlimTaper-C profile along the 3-piece maple neck to create a comfortably classic feel that seasoned guitarists will absolutely adore. A genuine rosewood fingerboard clad in those classic pearloid parallelogram inlays promises exceptional sustain in total style, kept in check by a set of Epiphone Deluxe tuners at the top and a LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge down at the body. Driven by a pair of Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers backed by Tone and Volume controls, the Bonehead Riviera is tailor-made for dialing in that full, bitey, and totally Supersonic tone of Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs — available now at Sadek Music, your trusted destination for authentic Epiphone instruments.

Semi-hollow supernova

The 5-ply maple top, back, and sides provide great note separation, responsive in the middle and upper registers while maintaining a sturdy low end. Its natural resonance and powerful projection are augmented by its semi-hollow design, remaining bright and full throughout. In the neck, maple functions as a solid sonic anchor, with crystalline, articulate tones in every register. Rosewood populates the fingerboard, yielding fabulous good looks and a wonderful natural sustain. Plus, the classic F-hole design allows for fantastic projection, adding a loudness to an already boisterous tonal blend.

Resilient assembly with comfortable action

Constructed with a set neck design, the Epiphone Bonehead Riviera features a 3-piece maple neck that’s naturally light in weight and vibrant in musical character, offering articulate response for every phrase. This resilient neck is shaped with a SlimTaper-C profile, ensuring a comfortable feel that accommodates a wide range of playing styles. Its 22 frets span a 12-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard, providing a robust tonal range without sacrificing comfort or versatility. A classic 3+3 headstock layout boasts Epiphone’s reliable die-cast tuners, complemented by a volute for added strength and stability — all coming together in a performance-ready design available now at Sadek Music.

Perfect electronics for acoustic-electric play

Looking to bring the semi-hollow sonics to life, Epiphone opted for Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers in both the neck and bridge positions, boasting Alnico V magnets that are evenly wound for a bright sound that balances well with the crisp semi-hollow projection. CTS potentiometers back up the Volume and Tone controls, and a 3-way selector switch allows you to dial in just the right blend of punch and attenuation. The LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge ensures a consistent and reliable sound, minimizing maintenance with intonation. A front-mounted 1/4-inch output accompanies black witch hat knobs, combined with lovely binding to pair visual and sonic aesthetics.

Bonehead: a Supersonic sound since ’91

Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, the founding guitarist of Oasis in 1991, helped define the band’s signature sound — that unmistakable, driving rhythm that powered some of the greatest Britpop anthems ever recorded. Playing his beloved Epiphone Riviera on every album until his departure in 1999, Bonehead’s tone became synonymous with the golden era of Oasis. After a brief break from the spotlight, he returned to the stage alongside Liam Gallagher in 2013 and continued to inspire generations of players. By 2024 — twenty-five years after leaving Oasis — Bonehead and the band reunited for the monumental Live in ’25 world tour, reigniting their timeless sound. Now, fans can capture that same Supersonic energy with the Epiphone Bonehead Riviera, available exclusively at Sadek Music.
