The Gibson Acoustic Elvis SJ-200 is a member of Gibson's famed line of Super Jumbo guitars, some of the best strumming accompaniment guitars ever made. The Sitka spruce top produces a strong, clear voice while the flame maple back and sides add a midrange boost and a dash of treble strength that cuts through a mix, without the overwhelming bass that a dreadnought can sometimes produce. It’s no surprise that the SJ-200 was one of Elvis’s favorites — while the King deferred most of the guitar playing duties to Scotty Moore, he often served as the rhythm foundation during live performances, a role that guitarists find the Elvis SJ-200 excels at.
