Available at Sadek Music, the Lowden 25 has long been regarded as the Lowden. While today’s expanded range of models makes choosing a single standout difficult, the 25 continues to deliver an unmatched character. Rich, full-bodied, warm, and powerful, it’s a guitar that commands attention. In the “O” version, it offers a complex, dynamic tone, while the “F” version is louder and more focused. Both versions excel at percussive strumming, flatpicking, and fingerpicking, making the Lowden 25 a versatile choice for a wide range of playing styles.

Sadek Music, Lowden guitars are widely regarded as some of the finest acoustic guitars in the world. Revered for their exquisite craftsmanship, premium tonewoods, and impeccable attention to detail, Lowden has become a major force in the acoustic guitar world. Founded in the 1970s by master luthier Lowden, each guitar is lovingly hand-built in Northern Ireland using traditional techniques to ensure the highest standards of quality. Quite simply, Lowden represents the pinnacle of acoustic craftsmanship, with every instrument standing as a true work of art.

The WL-25 (Wee Lowden 25) features a Rosewood back and sides paired with a Cedar top—one of the most celebrated tonewood combinations in acoustic guitar history. This pairing delivers an exceptional balance of projection and dynamics, offering crisp high-end clarity alongside a warm, expressive midrange. The compact Wee Lowden body shape makes it extremely comfortable to play and an excellent choice for travel or extended sessions. Its tighter, more focused tonal response provides enhanced precision for fingerpicking and arpeggios, while reduced bass when strumming chords results in a clearer, more articulate, and expressive sound.

Frequently asked questions

Steel strings, usually phosphor bronze or 80/20 bronze. Lighter gauges are easier on the fingers; heavier gauges give a fuller sound but need more finger pressure. Do not put steel strings on a classical (nylon-string) guitar.

Classical and flamenco guitars need nylon strings; acoustic guitars need steel acoustic sets (bronze or phosphor bronze); electric guitars need electric sets (nickel or steel); bass guitars, ukuleles, violins and ouds each need their own sets. If you are not sure, send us your instrument model on WhatsApp at +971 55 351 5764.

An acoustic-electric guitar has a built-in pickup and preamp so it can be plugged into an amplifier or PA system; a purely acoustic guitar has no electronics. Check the Specification tab of this product for its electronics.

Gauge is the thickness of the strings, usually given in thousandths of an inch (for example 10-46). Lighter gauges are easier to play and bend; heavier gauges give a fuller sound and more tension.

It depends on how much you play. Change them when they sound dull, feel rough or corroded, or no longer stay in tune; players who practise daily often change strings every few weeks.
