Gibson Original LG-2 Mahogany Acoustic Electric Guitar - Faded Vintage Sunburst

Drawing inspiration from those rare all-mahogany variants, the modern LG-2 All-Mahogany Faded features a body crafted entirely from solid mahogany, including the soundboard. The mahogany top is supported by traditional scalloped X-bracing, while the body is finished with simple black binding on both the top and back for a classic vintage appearance. The mahogany neck features a comfortable Rounded profile and is attached to the body using a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint for enhanced resonance and stability. 

It is topped with an unbound rosewood fingerboard fitted with 20 standard frets and elegant mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The guitar also features a sloped rectangular closed-slot rosewood bridge with a bone saddle and TUSQ® bridge pins for optimal tone transfer. Reliable tuning stability is provided by **Grover strap tuners with white buttons, while the classic teardrop pickguard enhances the instrument’s vintage-inspired character. The all-mahogany construction produces a warmer, rounder, and smoother tone compared to guitars with spruce tops, making the LG-2 All-Mahogany Faded an excellent choice for folk, blues, and fingerstyle playing.
