Solidbody Electric Guitar with Mahogany Body, Mahogany Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, and 2 Humbucking Pickups - Pelham Blue Burst

Sadek Music, we’re proud to offer the Gibson SG Standard — an instrument that has shaped the sound of rock and roll since its inception. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a guitar enthusiast looking for your next classic instrument, the SG Standard is a guitar that’s built to inspire you and take your playing to new heights. The Gibson SG Standard is a rock icon, and now it’s available in vintage-inspired finishes as part of the Gibson Custom Color Series. Each SG Standard is built in Nashville, where authenticity is the name of the game. Real-deal appointments include two 490 humbuckers — some of the finest PAF-style iterations ever built — along with a classic slim body and neck. The lightweight mahogany construction yields thick tones, great sustain, and no back pain. The SG Standard’s rosewood fingerboard is sure to inspire fresh riffs with low-action playability, a silky 24.75-inch scale length, and precision-leveled frets dressed using powerful Plek technology. The SG’s mischievous look is undoubtedly part of its lore, and the SG Standard offers only the finest looks. Finally, premium hardware and an old-school nitro finish feel even better than they look. The next chapter of guitar history is ready to begin with the Gibson SG Standard.

The Gibson SG Standard is a lean, mean rock machine

Sadek Music, this guitar is designed to deliver seamless performance, whether you’re chording down low or soaring through high solos. The SG Standard is built for players who demand the best in both tone and comfort. The Gibson SG Standard, famous for its comfortable, fast-action neck, is a perennial favorite among guitarists. Whether you’re chording down low or soloing up high, the distinctive rounded neck carve always feels just right. The Gibson SG Standard's iconic double-horned cutaway gives you free access to the high registers, while its Plek’d fretboard ensures effortless playability. Moreover, the Gibson SG Standard features a long neck tenon, a design that extends the neck into the SG Standard’s body for extra structural integrity and a bump in resonance and sustain.

Matched humbucker set delivers real-deal PAF tone

Gibson voiced the pickups on the SG Standard for tonal characteristics similar to classic late-period PAF humbuckers, but with a slight increase in the upper mids for a more contemporary sound rewards your touch with world-class responsiveness. However, these pickups readily clean up for more easy-going tones. Simply roll back the volume and/or tone controls, and you’ll find plenty of airy, mellow warmth that’s suitable for jazz, indie, soul, or R&B. We love the Gibson SG Standard’s pickup combo, and you will, too.

Nitro finish for the look and feel of a classic

The Gibson SG Standard wears a gorgeous nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Nitro finishes — standard back in the day — are significantly thinner than today’s polyurethane finishes, allowing the guitar to “breathe.” Nitro finishes not only look vintage-y wonderful, but they also enhance the instrument’s tonal qualities. The Gibson SG Standard has the look (and feel) of a lovingly cared-for classic — one that will only improve with age. Step into the next chapter of guitar history and grab your Gibson SG Standard today, available exclusively at Sadek Music!
