 As ebony tree populations in the wild diminish, guitar manufacturers like Martin are turning to sustainable alternatives. The Richlite fingerboard on the 000C Jr-E Bass is one of those! This stable wood won’t shrink or crack apart from the neck and feels sublimely smooth, much like ebony. Guitarists at Sadek Music say it has similar, if not superior, tonal properties to ebony. This Richlite fingerboard features 20 frets down its 24.9-inch scale, plus a comfortable 16-inch radius that’ll keep you playing your favorite bass licks all day long. Martin also designed the 000C Jr-E Bass with a cutaway so you can access as much of the Richlite fingerboard as possible. Combined with its sapele back and sides and solid spruce top, the 000C Jr-E Bass is one acoustic-electric bass you will love playing.
