The Martin 000-28 1933 Ambertone (2025 Model) pairs solid Sitka spruce with East Indian rosewood to deliver warm, balanced acoustics in a comfortable Auditorium body. Updated for 2025, this iconic 000-14 fret model features vintage-inspired Golden Era (GE) scalloped X-bracing, a reimagined GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, rolled fingerboard edges, and an angled bone nut to improve string alignment and hand comfort.

Finished in a rich 1933 Ambertone top gloss, this serial-numbered acoustic (#2927422) is adorned with classic Style 28 appointments including bold herringbone top inlay, antique white binding, nickel open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs, and a genuine ebony fingerboard and bridge. With its short 24.9-inch scale length and 1 3/4-inch nut width, it offers responsive playability for fingerstyle artists and flatpickers alike. Includes a Martin molded hardshell case.

Frequently asked questions

Steel strings, usually phosphor bronze or 80/20 bronze. Lighter gauges are easier on the fingers; heavier gauges give a fuller sound but need more finger pressure. Do not put steel strings on a classical (nylon-string) guitar.

An acoustic-electric guitar has a built-in pickup and preamp so it can be plugged into an amplifier or PA system; a purely acoustic guitar has no electronics. Check the Specification tab of this product for its electronics.
