Description

EJ38, D'Addario's most popular 12-string set, offers the ideal balance of volume, projection and comfortable playability. Designed for all makes and models of 12-string acoustic guitars.

Phosphor Bronze was introduced to string making by D'Addario in 1974 and has become synonymous with warm, bright, and well-balanced acoustic tone. D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings are precision wound with corrosion-resistant phosphor bronze onto a carefully drawn, hexagonally shaped, high-carbon steel core. The result is a long-lasting, bright-sounding tone with excellent intonation.

  • Preferred for its warm, bright, and well-balanced acoustic tone
  • Environmentally friendly, corrosion-resistant packaging for strings that are always fresh
  • Made in the U.S.A. for the highest quality and performance

Frequently asked questions

Classical and flamenco guitars need nylon strings; acoustic guitars need steel acoustic sets (bronze or phosphor bronze); electric guitars need electric sets (nickel or steel); bass guitars, ukuleles, violins and ouds each need their own sets. If you are not sure, send us your instrument model on WhatsApp at +971 55 351 5764.

Gauge is the thickness of the strings, usually given in thousandths of an inch (for example 10-46). Lighter gauges are easier to play and bend; heavier gauges give a fuller sound and more tension.

It depends on how much you play. Change them when they sound dull, feel rough or corroded, or no longer stay in tune; players who practise daily often change strings every few weeks.
