LR Baggs Element VTC Active Acoustic Pickup System

Sadek Music, we offer this guitar with personalized service and expert advice, ensuring you find the perfect instrument The Hummingbird Original comes equipped with LR Baggs's popular Element VTC electronics, which feature a low-profile undersaddle transducer that's proven more stable and durable than many standard ribbon-type pickups. Combined with an onboard preamp with unobtrusive volume control, mounted just inside the soundhole, the Element VTC is a tremendous performer. Its sleek and effective design removes unnecessary internal components to enhance the coupling between the pickup and the guitar and improve the sensitivity of the transducer for a robust, lively, and natural acoustic sound with excellent dynamics and a delicate high end.

Own one of the world's most beloved acoustic guitars

The Hummingbird was Gibson's first 16"-wide dreadnought-style guitar with the extra-wide upper bout, known as the "square-shouldered" body shape. To emphasize the importance of the new model, Gibson outfitted the original Hummingbird with such eye-catching features as a cherry sunburst finish (the first on a Gibson Flat Top), double-parallelogram fingerboard inlays, multilayered binding, and a modernized pickguard engraved with a hummingbird and blossoms. As discriminating guitarists immediately discovered, underneath the Hummingbird's flashy ornamentation is a solid, top-quality guitar. You'll feel the same way when you get your hands on this Gibson Hummingbird Original.

An acoustic-electric guitar has a built-in pickup and preamp so it can be plugged into an amplifier or PA system; a purely acoustic guitar has no electronics. Check the Specification tab of this product for its electronics.
