Its lower neck is a standard Gibson 6-string, straightforward and great-sounding. Gibson paid just as much attention to this guitar's electronics as they did to its aesthetics. Every part of its internal signal path was designed to deliver dead-on vintage tone. Of course, it's next to impossible to find genuine '50s PAFs (even for Gibson). Instead, the Gibson Custom EDS-1275 Doubleneck sports four unpotted CustomBucker humbuckers. Its Indian rosewood fingerboards boast 20 frets, celluloid split-parallelogram inlays, a 1.69-inch nut width, and a 24.75–inch scale, along with ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridges and nickel tailpieces.
