Epiphone’s long friendship with Les Paul began in 1940, when Les built one of the world’s first solid body electric guitars—nicknamed “The Log”—at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. This groundbreaking instrument would go on to inspire what many consider the greatest electric guitar ever made: the Les Paul™ Standard.
The Les Paul Standard 60s features a mahogany body with a maple cap for rich tone and sustain, paired with a SlimTaper™ 60s C-profile mahogany neck for fast, comfortable playability.
The rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets complete the classic feel.
For outstanding tuning stability, the Kalamazoo-style headstock is fitted with Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and a Graph Tech® nut. Under the hood, a pair of Epiphone ProBucker™ pickups—a ProBucker 2 in the neck and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge—deliver vintage PAF-inspired tones. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls with premium CTS® potentiometers for precise tonal shaping.
