Martin introduced the X Series line with the aim of producing an acoustic guitar from more eco-friendly materials while still retaining all the earmarks of a Martin guitar: superlative design; impeccable tone; and instant playability. The GPCX2 continues this vision in grand fashion. This Grand Performance body is made from a Sitka spruce top with a cocobolo HPL back and sides for bold, balanced tone and stellar projection. A select hardwood neck and fingerboard offer smooth playability and response, and the deep cutaway gives you access to those higher notes and exploratory chordings. When you are ready to plug in, onboard Martin E-1 electronics kick out gorgeous amplified tone.

This neck has also been hand-rubbed, so it is extra smooth — a feature we love here at and with a smooth, deep cutaway, you get effortless access to the higher frets.
