The MESA CabClone™ IR Cabinet Simulator/IR Reader, available at Sadek Music, is designed to give guitarists complete control over their tone with professional flexibility for both live performances and studio recording. The built-in Reactive Load provides an impedance-matched and safe solution to run your amplifier without a connected speaker cabinet or internal combo speaker. This allows you to record directly or send a silent DI signal to a live front-of-house or monitor console while preserving the natural response and character of your amplifier. A speaker cabinet can also be used at the same time for stage sound and personal monitoring. This allows you to feel the real cabinet response while sending your selected Cab Sim/IR tone to the console, giving you the perfect combination of authentic stage feel and consistent professional output.

MIDI Control for Instant Tone Switching

The CabClone™ IR supports MIDI Program Change messages, allowing instant access to all 16 Cabinet Simulations/IRs stored across two banks of 8 presets through the standard 5-pin MIDI IN connection. A MIDI THRU connection is also included, allowing program changes to pass through to other compatible MIDI devices in your setup. With MIDI control, you can match different cabinet simulations to different amplifier channels and sounds. For example:

• Use an Open-Back 2x12 cabinet IR from the LIVE Bank for clean tones.
• Choose a Closed-Back 4x12 cabinet IR from the LIVE Bank for powerful crunch rhythm sounds.
• Select a Closed-Back 1x12 cabinet IR from the STUDIO Bank for detailed solo tones.

You can even assign different cabinet sounds to the same amplifier channel for different musical styles. Create the perfect pairing for rhythm and lead tones, such as using a 1x12 Open-Back Ceramic speaker simulation for blues rhythm playing and an Alnico speaker simulation for expressive lead tones. Third-Party IR Compatibility

Beyond the 16 MESA factory-loaded cabinet impulse responses, the CabClone™ IR also provides storage space for a large library of third-party IR files. Through the USB connection, the unit appears as a standard file directory on your computer, allowing you to easily drag, copy, and save your own IR cabinet simulations into any of the available 16 preset locations.This powerful customization lets you create your own personal preset collection for recording sessions, live performances, and different musical styles.
