Epiphone’s long partnership with Les Paul began in 1940, when he built one of the world’s first solidbody electric guitars—nicknamed “The Log”—at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. This innovation would go on to inspire what many consider the greatest electric guitar ever made: the Les Paul Standard.

The Les Paul Standard 50s Figured is crafted with a mahogany body and a maple cap topped with a highly figured maple veneer, producing a rich, warm midrange tone with bright, articulate highs. A mahogany neck with a 1959 Rounded Medium C-profile and long neck tenon provides exceptional stability and sustain, while the rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets ensures smooth playability. Epiphone’s Vintage Deluxe tuners, Graph Tech® nut, and LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge with Stop Bar tailpiece deliver superior tuning stability. Under the hood, the guitar features a pair of Epiphone ProBucker™ humbuckers—a ProBucker 1 in the neck and a hotter ProBucker 2 in the bridge—wired with CTS® pots and 50s-style wiring for vintage tonal character.
